Bumps and holes

Question
QUESTION: Hi,
I have been searching the web for my problem and can't seem to find anything similar to figure out what is going on in my lawn. I have ALOT of small bumps throughout the yard and when I push the dirt back I see there is a small 1/8 inch diameter hole under one. Any  ideas?

ANSWER: You didn't say how far the holes went, but have you thought of crayfish?

QUESTION: Hi again,
Didn't think of crayfish as I live in Colorado. We bought this house 3 years ago and the lawn and been landscaped. I took pictures for you and the holes only go down about an inch. No sign of animals or insects. Hope the pictures help. The bumps are about 1/2 tall and the picture shows the diameter of the hole and from what I can tell they go down about an inch.

Answer
When you say under one. This is the ONLY one with a hole?

If so, then it is an outlier, therefore, my suggestion is mole.
But without significantly more details, visit http://icwdm.org and read our literature on damage identification, it would be difficult to say further.
