Something is digging up our yard at night. Could you please tell me what the damage an armadillo does looks like? We want to make sure we are treating for the right animal. Small holes about silver dollar size in diameter, anywhere from 3 to 5" deep. Usually around trees. Around pine and maple trees. Thanks for your help

You haven't provided much information such as location etc.

Armadillo damage can look very similar to raccoon damage so it can be hard to tell them apart. Of course, with the size of damage you have described, I can't rule out feral hogs either.
