Question

Bug   I was hoping you'd be able to identify this.  I'm strongly hoping for the outcome to be beetle or wood roach.  There are many trees around my house, some dead.  This appeared to come in through a porch door as it was right by it, and again I'm strongly hoping it was just a visitor.  Please help!!

This is a cockroach (see http://www.livingwithbugs.com/cockroaches.html for more info) but I can't tell for sure which species. It might be a juvenile since the wings appear to be short in this photo. Post a follow up if you have questions.
