grass overunning my pachysandra and ivy

Question
hi charlotte!
i have areas of pachysandra and of ivy on my small lawn. These areas are on the borders of the lawn, the center of which is grass.

On some of the plant border areas, grass- or some other species, consisting of thin long blades- is
overunning the plants. i can't stand there and pull out all the numerous blades.

my question: is there a spray that will kill the blades but not affect the plants?

thank you for your interest.

chris

Answer
There are grass killers that will kill grasses, and not harm broad leaved plants. that should work on that grass/weed.Careful, and don't let the spray get onto your lawn grass, it will kill that too.
P.S.
You might mow or trim the ivy and pachysandra down rather short, to encourage it to spread and thicken up, so it gets too thick for that grass/weed to come up. If that grass has no sunlight, it will die out.
