rocks and grass

Question
I have a lot of river rocks, all sizes, in the dirt where I want to plant lawn for a soccer field.  We've disked the dirt and roto-tilled it and it just brings up more rocks.  We have a very large area, at least an acre.  Is there a way to pick up the rocks without having to do it by hand?  We've tried a hydraulic lawn rake, but that just seems to pick up as much dirt as rocks. We need to get the rocks out because of it being a soccer field.

Answer
I do not have a practicable solution to your problem BUT I imagine a box blade (an implement used for leveling land). Only the 'box' will not have a solid bottom but a strong mesh of suitable-sized openings which would allow the dirt to fall back on the land while rocks and other stuff that are larger than the mesh openings would be trapped in the box. Now if we could persuade some one to build it, we could patent the concept and make a few dollars.
