yard moles

Question
Hello...Can you give me some ideas on how to rid my lawn of moles? Thank you..Margaret

Answer
Hello Margaret;
There are ways to make them leave your yard and go elsewhere, without hurting them.
Sprinkle Cayenne pepper down the holes, or put mothballs down their holes.
Mothballs put out a lethal gas,but when they smell it, they know it will harm them, so they will abandon that tunnel. I am told.Just keep putting it in all the holes you find, and they should give up and go somewhere else.
The Cayenne pepper burns their little noses a little, so one whif of that, and they will leave.Same thing, just keep putting it in any holes you find.
I am told both these methods work. Knock wood, We don't have moles in our yards in North Texas, at least none I have ever heard of. We have our own little critters that drive us nuts though. We sometimes get opossums, skunks and rabbits, sometimes a snake we don't want to get too close to, and of course, scads of squirels.
Good luck with the moles.
Charlotte
