digging animal

Question
I have a bare spot in my front lawn and a cat has been using it as a litter box how can I prevent the cat from digging holes to allow me to plant seed without it just digging it up ? Is there something I can burry in the hole to scare it off ?

Answer
Kevin,

I have heard several wise tales over the years as to what some people have placed in their yeards or flower beds to ward off cats.  Unfortunately, most of those are just that, wise tales.  I have heard of people using salt, dog dropings, hair clippings and sveral other things.  Hoever,  I am unaware of anything that actually works as well as what you want...other than removal of the cat which I am guessing is not a viable option.

I am unaware of any products on the market for such a purpose.  There are several repellants such as deer repellant or snake repellants but I dont think those products would work on a cat.

I wish I could be of more help to you.  Please let me know should you find something that does work.
