large spots in lawn

Question
Hello Charlotte B. Some areas of lawn have very thin blades of grass and have flatten down as though someone had been walking on it (although no one has) it has now turned brown. This area is about 2ft. x 3ft. There are other areas that are starting to have the same problems.  What is it and what can I do about it.  Your help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you, Ellen Prisco

Answer
Hi Ellen;
Sounds like it might be fungus of some kind.
I had another question today about fungus, and she said her grass blades laid down.
I use baking soda disolved in water to spray the area to saturate it well.
I use 1/4th cup baking soda to 1 gallon of water.
Charlotte
