RE: lawn care question

Question
Hello Ronald,

I have a lawn that needs serious maintenance.

Fast autumn, I saw some landscapers spread some green powderlike paste onto a neighbor's front lawn. The lawn looks great. I would like to know what this material is. I want to apply some onto my garden full of the weeds and barren patches.

Also what type of fertilizer do you recommend for bushes?

Thank you for reading. I look forward to your feedback.

Answer
Stephen, you probably saw something like what is shown HERE. Please note that I do not have any experience with the method; therefore I cannot give an opinion it.
Fertilizer for bushes. Check with your local agricultural advisory agency or a reputable nursery for any regulations governing fertilizer application. If it is OK put down a granular product with a low first (nitrogen) number. Examples are 2-10-10; 6-6-6; 8-10-10. If it is flowering bush, a 4-6-8 will work.
