I was told it could be my yard had so much contractor material thatwas buryied, it could be it. We have had a lot of rain and most of my yard it green.I can pull grass up but no roots.They seem to be intact. I dug looking for grub worms and never spotted any insect.. I want to treaat my yard or do I just let nature take it corse and hope my yard comes back healthy.

Answer
Hi Marsha;
Sounds like brown patch, a fungus.
I use only organic means of correcting problems, and if you use chemical fertilizers, weed killers etc, they will undo any organics you use.
I use baking soda dicolved in water to treat all fungii.
1 rounded TBLSP baking soda per galon of water, and 1 teaspoonful of argricultural soap. spray it on the infected areas, or, You can apply Corn Meal Gluten at the rate of 15 to 20 pounds per 1000 sq.ft. and water it in.
I would never go back to chemicals again.
I used chemical products for over 40 years, and the last 8 or 9 years, I have been on an organic program.
I use no fertilizers, weed killers or pesticides, and I have a healthy, thick and lush,weedfree and insect free lawn.
