Acorns are sprouting and killing my Lawn.

Question
So I missed a ton of acorns in my freshly sodded lawn.  They are sprouting.  What do I do?  Do I pull up every single one of them by hand?  There are a million little trees popping out of my lawn:(.

Answer
Seedlings sprouting through a freshly sodded lawn?
Either the sod pieces were very thin; or else the oak seedlings are popping up in the seams. The latter suggests that the sod pieces were not jammed together to ensure a 'seamless' sod job.
For the first scenario the answer is to let regular mowing take care of the problem. The seedlings will not thrive on a lawn that is mowed regularly at the correct height. If they do persist, a well-chosen weed control product applied under the right conditions will take care of them.
For the second scenario hand pulling is certainly an option but the long term solution is to fill in any open seams with sand. Again cultural control can be attained by mowing.
Or you may choose chemical control. Choose the product with care and apply according to label directions.
