Oak seedlings/saplings

Question
Last fall i removed  three 32 gallon pails of acorns
However many still remained in the lawn. this is all from one oak tree.
Now all summer long I have oak saplings growing out of the lawn. They are very difficult to pull up and there are so many. Is there any other way of killing them. Are there any weed killers on the market that will do the trick as fall is approaching and there will be an additional crop of acorns coming?
Thanks

Answer
Actually, this is a case where I think you are being over-diligent.  Oak trees cannot tolerate being mowed.  2 or 3 mowings will usually do them in for good.  Don't worry about pulling, just cut the grass regularly.

The excessive acorns would pile up eventually though, so removing as many as you can within reason is advisable.

Good luck my friend!
