Finding a Good Residential Landscape Designer/Architect

Question
Laura,

I just purchased a brand new home and have started embarking on the job of landscaping it.  I realize the value of having good, upfront design, but don't know where to look.  I live in San Diego and my lot is fairly small (5100 Sq ft).

I am looking for a designer that works on small, residential designs with modest budgets (under $30K).  Our goals are fairly basic, some hardscpae of patio furniture and a spa, some grass, basic irrigation and drainage, and plants.

Can you suggest a place to look or a few resources?

Answer
Ed,
Go to www.google.com. It is the largest search engine on the internet. Type in a direct search: "San Diego landscape designers".You will get all kinds of results and then you can narrow them down by going on their website or get their business phone number.Just explain to them that you are on a budget and want to keep it simple but right for your new home.
Good luck to you on your new home!
