schooling

Question
Can you recommend classes or a school where I can get enough education in landscape design to be considered by a good company for an appointment as apprentice? I have a background in art so I can draw, I think I have some natural ability for design, color, scale etc.. I have done some garden design for friends and word of mouth but I'd really love to do more of this. I'd rather learn from experts on the job than in a classroom if possible. I am motivated and hard working. Thanks!

Answer
I would find out what local resources you have in the way of a technical or community school/college that may offer courses in landscape management, landscape design, etc. There are hundreds if not thousands of schools that offer these types of courses and I am not familiar with all of them or even a lot of them. You'll need to contact the schools in your area and inquire as to what courses they offer. Good Luck.
