Pressure Tank

Question
I have a shallow well which runs a 4 zone sprinkler system. I recently replaced the pump with a Flotec 1hp. It seems to pump plenty of water but the sprinkler heads do not seem to be working to their full potential. The system does not have a pressure tank, it runs straight off of the pump. Would a pressure tank help or are there possibly to many heads per zone to maintain adequate pressure?

Answer
It sounds like there is not enough output by the pump for the system.  First, make sure all the valves in the main line are open fully, and that there are no leaks.  If not, and the sprinklers are still not working, a pressure tank may help, but not always.  But it will give you more consistant pressure.
