Hi... Is it true if you run your irrigation system off of city water, if you install a second meter it will save you loads of money on your water bill??

Well.... maybe, save you money.
It depends on how your municipality bills you. Many water departments assume if 1000 gallons of water goes into your home you are dumping 1000 gallons into the sewer also. In most case this is correct, unless you have an irrigation system.
By installing a second meter to measure only the irrigation water you can avoid the sewer charges associated with your water bill. Unfortunately, some municipalities don't offer this option. You will need to contact the water department and ask. Also ask what the meter costs are and if there is a minimum charge each month. If you live in an area that is cold half of the year, like I do. It may not save much money.
