i turn 1 zone on and zone 2 goes on what could be my problem

I would start by disconnecting the #2 wire in the controller. Run zone #1, if this solves the problem, then your controller is bad.

Next, reconnect the controller wire and disconnect the #2 wire at the valve. Run the controller. If this stops the problem you have a short. #1 and #2 wires touching in the ground. That could be a difficult one to find.

Finally, Turn on #1 valve manually in the ground (not by the controller) If #2 comes on then I'd say it has bad diaphragm and needs to be replaced.
