Question
Are relacement modules available?  I've tried unpluging the controller and removing the battery, but the display goes crazy when I have it on program mode.  Any tips/suggestions?

Yes the modules are probably available. The problem is they will cost as much or more than the controller. As with so many products the parts purchased separately, are very expensive.
If you can't get it to work for you, I'd suggest buying a new controller.
