The controller is destroyed. Replace it yourself:

Buy an Irritrol Rain Dial or Rain Bird ESP controller ($100–$150).
Label each field wire as you remove it from the old controller (terminals 1‑6, C, MV/PS).
Connect wires to the same terminals on the new controller.
Reconnect 120 VAC power (black‑black, white‑white, green‑ground) with power OFF.
