Question
jim,please help me and explain what to do when my timer says short on 15 ? my  
entire system is down. I'm not to electrical minded. thank you ----steve

Dear Steve, I hope this helps. Normally when it's telling you short on 15, you have a short in either the wire going out to your solenoid on valve #15, or the solenoid is bad and it's shorting out. What you would need to do is determine which valve is #15, and replace the solenoid. The solenoid simply unscrews from the top of the valve, and a new one screws back on. There will be two wires on the solenoid that need to be hooked back up, just make sure you hook it back up to the same two wires. There is not a dedicated hot or neutral on the solenoid wires, so either wire can be hooked to either of the field wires. Good luck and let me know if you need anymore help. Have a great day.
