Rain Bird RC-7bi Timer

Question
I am having problems with the auto timer on my Rain Bird RC-7bi.  The timer will run and keep the current time until it gets to the pushed in pin signifying the start hour, when it gets to this point it just stops.  I can hear sound that does not change like the motor is still running. If I manually give it a gentle twist past the trigger point the sprinklers start, but it seems to hang up at the start hour pin every time I try to set it and have it run automatically.

Your help is much appreciated,
Johanna

Answer
Hey Johanna, the problem is with the hour motor, and it needs to be replaced. If you take out the 4 screws on the front of the panel, the whole unit will come out of the case. behind the hour wheel, you will see a motor, this is the motor that is going bad, and needs to be replaced. Try going to an irrigation supply store, they should have a replacement motor. Or call "Sprinkler World of Arizona" at 602-954-9022 and they should be able to ship you a motor. Good luck and have a great day.
