Bulb Identification

Question
I found a bunch of what looks like egg shaped bulbs over the mulch in my flower bed. It has a whitish membrane surrounding it with small fine black roots, almost like an onion root. No scent. The bulb itself is brownish going to peach color. There are no holes on my property therefore I do not think they came from my garden. Would you have some idea? PS, I,m in Connecticut.

Answer
Dear Iram,

They are possibly bulbs that have been carried over from a critter of some sort.
Have you cut one open to confirm that it is a bulb and not some type of fungi living off of the organic mulch?
Would you be able to send me a picture?

Thank you,
Angie
