Plant identity

Question
My aunt has a plant growing in her garden and we know nothing about it.  It has flowers and is  bushy.  There are seed looking pods that are shaped like a seahorse.  The plant is sticky like to touch(GLUE LIKE).She is 90 years old and has never seen anything like this. Where it came from or what it is.  Can you help. Thanks, Don  Moore

Answer
Several things would help, most particularly a picture of the plant.

Do you know what color the flowers are? Is it actually bush-shaped or could it be a vine? What shape are the leaves?

From your description of the pods, my best guess would be Proboscidea or Devil's Claws, particularly if you live in the southwestern US.
