Habaneros

Question
i recently planted some habanero seeds in our garden, you can alredy see the little bity plants starting to grow, how long it's going to take before they grow to their average size, and how can i make them grow faster

Answer
Moises, once the seedlings develop their fourth set of leaves, spray them with a water-soluable fertilizer high in phosphorus and potassium. The phosphorus will promote more blossoms; the potassium will aid root growth. Avoid fertilizers high in nitrogen since they result in lush foliage but very little blooming. I would also mulch the plants with straw or shredded leaves to help retain moisture, balance soil temperature, and keep down weeds.

In regard to growth, they usually reach average size in 8 weeks and produce peppers up until the first frost.

I hope this answered your question. Please write again if I can ever be of assistance.

Regards,

Mike
