Leggy Yellow Pepper Plants

Question
Good Afternoon.  I have a garden that is connected to my neighbors garden.  It is separated by only a fence.  We bought the same plants together from Burpee.  His plants are dark green with big leaves.  However, mine are small leggy and yellowing.  I do have small peppers already.  He does not.  Are they going to be ok?  What type of fertilizer do you recommend? Thank you for your help.

Answer
Hi Melany,
A very interesting situation you present.  I think the first thing I would do, is talk to your neighbor and compare notes.  You need big green leaves and he needs some peppers.  We use only organic fertilizer.  I recommend chicken litter and either horse or sheep manure.  Perhaps he's watering more than you are.  I would think the soil would be similar.  Talk to your neighbor and use the same watering schedule that he is and check into some natural fertilizer.  If you lived close, we'd be happy to share.
Kind Regards,
Kindred
