Homemade fungicide solution for tomatos

Question
I read an on line article by Mike Mascio dated 7/3/2006 in which he gave the ingredients for a home made fungicide.  It consists of the mixture 2 tbs baking powder, 1 tbs non-concentrated dishsoap and 1 tbs vegetable oil. After the list of ingredients mention was made about "baking soda".  Do we use "baking powder" or "baking soda".  Also, can you please tell me if this is applied directly to the tomato plant or if it is mixed with water?  If it is mixed with water how much water should be used.  Many thanks, Jerry

Answer
Jerry:

Application of this mixture will depend on whether the fungas is on the roots or on the plant.

For sure you would need to mix water well. The solution has to really be mixed well with water. Baking powder and baking soda are both the same.

Let me know if it works.

Best wishes.

Don
