hanging basket

Question
I have just potted my hanging basket up with very small plants,is it safe to keep outside or is it likely there maybe frosts this time of year
      Thankyou

Answer
I don't know where you live or what you have planted, so I would have to just advise you to have a temperature gauge outside where you can easily keep track of the night temperatures. I have one that I can read the temperature from inside the house and it will set an alarm if it freezes.

Also watch the weather report on the news, or in the newspaper. If the night temperatures are staying above 40 degrees every night, then it is safe to put them out.

If your basket has been inside long enough to become accustom to the conditions indoors, then gradually take the basket out in the day and bring it in at night, for longer periods every day, until it adjusts to the change.

Don't forget to water, and give your basket plenty of light.
