Q: The top of my crapemyrtle died from cold or something. Then the branches started growing from the base and not from the top. How can I correct this?

A: It’s as easy as 1-2-3.

1. Cut out the leafless trunks – they are dead

2. Select 2 – 3 vigorous, vertical sprouts from those at ground level. These will become your new trunks.

3. Remove the other sprouts at ground level. You’ll have a nice looking crape before you know it!
