Fall for Planting Shrubs and Trees

shrubs

Fall is a great time for planting shrubs and trees. We have a nice selection of shrubs, on sale at 20%off (30% for member/owners).  Once the heat of the summer has passed, planting is less stressful. Plants still have time to acclimate to their new site in your garden before winter and they will have a head start once the new gardening season arrives in the spring. Of course, as always, new plantings require some tlc, most importantly regular watering, to get well established.

These include some beautiful specimens:

burning bush for brilliant red color in fall

native green elderberry bushes – bloom white in June, dark berries in summer

clethra, or summersweet, semi-shade tolerant shrub with fragrant pink blooms in summer

physocarpus, or ninebark “Summer Wine” with dark reddish foliage

And many more.
