Growing Euonymus topiary (Euonymus japonicus 'Microphyllus')

Growing Euonymus topiary (Euonymus japonicus 'Microphyllus')

Pronunciation: yew-on'-ih-mus

This bushy, evergreen shrub prefers low to bright, indirect light and indoors temperatures of 40-80°F. Water thoroughly when the top 1/2 inch of potting mix is dry to the touch. Be sure to allow the potting mix to become dry that far down between waterings. From early April until mid-September, fertilize every 6 weeks with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer mixed at 1/2 strength. Use scissors to shape your topiary from time to time as needed, trimming the stems about 1/4-inch above a pair of leaves.
