Question
QUESTION: I plan on taking my fish inside this winter. Should I completely drain my pond or is it best to leave the water in it .  it gets very cold here. Not sure if freezing will crack the pond.

QUESTION: The top pond ia  a hard plastic.  bottom pond is hard plastic covered by a heavy liner.  We have always left our fish in these for the winter with a heater but want to take them out this winter

It it were my pond I would leave it filled and use a de-icer to keep it from freezing all the way... shouldn't be an extravagant expense... The reason I advise this is because sometimes an empty pond is at greater risk for cracking then one with icy water in it.  I would rather be on the safe side and spend a few extra dollars then waste a day or two trying to fill, drain and diagnose a leak... dave
