winter in the deep south

Question
i live in Mississippi, the winters are very mild,I need to know if I should winterize my pond, paticularly, should I stop my waterfall until spring? The pond is goldfish, koi, plants, and a 4 foot waterfall, center pond is 3 feet deep, 2,1, and is 16ft.x 24ft. a total of about 2,000 gallon of water. Thank you in advance.

Answer
Hello Sherry!
Whether you need to winterize depends on a couple of factors:
1) Does the pond ever completely freeze over?
2) Do leaves of trees in the area drop for the winter?
3) Does the water temperature go below 60 degrees Fahrenheit?
If any of those conditions exist, then the pond needs to be winterized.
