Question
would warming water be of any good to my houseplants

Answer
Mathew,

If the water is very cold then yes it would be better to warm it so it does not shock your plants. Most houseplants are tropical plants and watering them with ice cold water will shock them a bit. I fill 5 gallon buckets with water the night before I plan to water so the next day when I water the water is at room temperature and does not shock the plants.

If your house plants are hardy plants and not tropical then this would be unnecessary. Good luck!
