nullifying weed killer

Question
Help im desperate! I have used weed killer on my garden in error. At approximately four hours after discovery i saturated with water hoping that this will counter the effects however four days after im now seeing the leaves getting yellow, What can i do ? It went on all the plants in my front lawn (including the grass).

Answer
Hi Reyon, You didn't say what herbicide you used.  If it was glyphosate, the plants you sprayed are dead, but it does nothing to the soil so you can replant at once.  If it's a lawn weed killer, the lawn will survive, a few plants may recover but most will not and you should wait at least 60 days before replanting. Test the area by planting a few green beans to see if they come up with no ill effects before planting new shrubs.  I wish I had better news. Jim
