unidentifyed flower

Question
I have recently moved into a new house (2 yrs ago) and there is a ?flower that sends up foliage but never blooms. I don't know what it is to be able to care for it. The foliage is flat stiff leaves about 4-12 inches tall and 5-6 leaves per bunch all arranged next to each other like a hand fan. They are 1/2 green and 1/2 white length wise. Please help me to care for these. They come up in March every year.

Answer
It sounds like it might be Acorus graminea, a Carex (sedge) or Luzula.  If it is one of those, you will have no flowers or insignificant ones.  Without a photo, that is the best I can do.  If you can obtain a digital photo, you can send it to (no more than 200kB) [email protected].
