Hi i have a question about fruit flies they are on my tropical plants. They were fine when i bought them in october and a month later my house was infested.. I am wondering if these plants are causing the infestation in my house hold and what i can do about it.

Hi Patricia, I am not an Entomologist, but what I think you are seeing is an insect called White Fly, and they are hatching from the soil; you need to change out the soil on your new plants, this should nip it in the bud (pardon the pun):) ...many times nursery plants are sold with unwanted guest in the soil, and I always change out my soil before bringing them indoors.
