musa dwarf cavendish

Question
  Hello Nick
I have a 5 year old plant . How old and tall does it get before it is mature enough to produce fruit ?

Answer
Hi Matt, under ideal conditions, "In the ground" without cold stress, a Banana produces fruit in 12-15 months,,depending on variety; if in a container, good luck in ever getting it to produce, because contrary to what many will say, Bananas do not fare well at all when contained and just continue to stress, hence no fruit production.
