Yoshino Cherry Trees

Question
I live in  ABQ, NM and I recently planted 3 Yoshino Cherry Trees in my front yard.

The problem that I think I might have is that they are about 2 feet above my water line. I've read that these trees have a lateral root system and I dug extra wide holes. I'm thinking they have a shallow root system as well since the instructions for depth were the height of the root ball.

Should I move these trees?

Thanks for your time.

Answer
Do not worry about it. The majority of the root system will be within the top 2 feet of soil. The roots will not enter the water pipes since they are sealed. Some of the old clay sewer pipes were open at the joints and some tree roots entered the sewer pipes clogging them. The newer sealed sewer pipes do not have this problem. The water pipes will no have a problem with the tree roots. Enjoy your tree and do not worry about the pipes.
