Round Up

Question
Is there anything less expensive I could use to kill the cluster of scrub oaks I have?  If I use Round Up I understand I won't be able to plant anything else there.  Is this true?  What can I put on a stump so it disappears or do I have to have it ground out?  Thank you

Answer
Not true. Roundup will kill any green plant it get on but after it dries there is no problem planting back in the same place. When put on living stump (fresh cut) the Roundup is transported to the roots but will not harm any other close plant. There are generic brands of Roundup that go under the name of glyphosate That are just as effect if the percent of active ingredient is the same.
