Dappled willow near paver sidewalk

I would like to plant a dappled willow near a paver sidewalk(about 3 feet away). Will the roots be a problem for this location? Thanks for your help.

The roots will not be a problem with this tree near a sidewalk. This trees roots do not have a reputation of causing problem with walkways. The roots tend to grow down in the soil rather than on the soil surface. The roots will however clog septic lines so do not plant them near a fill line.
