Hi Jim
You mentioned that Terro can be effective. I looked at their site and there are many different types of Terro. I am wondering if you could be specific as to which one to use for carpenter ants infestation in a tree. Or recommend any other treatment.

I would use the Outdoor Liquid Ant Baits. It will last longer outdoors. Here is the web link
