Question
i am located in ohio. I planted 5 beautiful blue spruce trees when i purchased my property,13 yrs ago. they seemed as though they were dying , called an arborist over to look at them and he told me they had a disease that was coming through the roots and would eventually kill all 5 trees. are you familiar with this diesease? He said we could treat them but it was extremely costly.  Trying to make a decision whether to remove them.

There is really not enough information to d the problem. A picture would  help a lot. IF it is a root disease there is not much that can be done to save the trees,. But I would suspect it is a stem and branch canker and if the case there are treatment that will work. A couple of pictures of the trees and a closer one of the damage would help to I'd the problem.
