plant propagtion

Question
There is a large shrub on the edge of my yard (northern Ohio) that has numerous white flowers on it. The side in the sun has twice as many as the part in the shade.  By large I mean about 15 foot tall and at least that big around.  The small flowers don't have much of a smell but it is a beautiful shrub that I would like to duplicate.

Based on this limited information, I hope you can advise me how to propagate it.

Thanks.

Answer
John,

TAKE A CUTTING THAT IS NOT YET WOODY, ABOUT 6" LONG. DIP THE CUT END IN ROOTING HORMONE AVAILABLE AT YOUR LOCAL GARDEN CENTER. STICK THE CUT END IN A POT WITH MOIST POTTING MEDIA, NOT BAGGED TOP SOIL. COVER WITH A CLEAR PLASTIC BAG AND PLACE IN INDIRECT LIGHT. CHECK THE MEDIA MOISTURE WEEKLY AND WATER IF FEELS DRY OR YOU DONOT SEE CONDENSATION ON THE BAG. IF THE CUTTING ROOTS IT MAY TAKE UP TO 8 WEEKS, SO BE PATIENT.

GOOD LUCK
