shrubs for shade

Question
On the side of my house it is very shaded until about 3pm to 4pm and anything I put there gets next to no sun. I want a shrub that requires not much sun and is beneficial to the birds. Are there any I can put in that may help shelter as well as feed (berries)? I thought about a yew but I cant remember the one I was thinking about that didn't need much sun. My yard is  registered with the NWF as a backyard habitat. I want to put in something with as many benefits as possible.
                          Thank You!

Answer
yews will work there and you might want to try some holly. most of the shrubs need sun but if you can find a spot that gets just a little (4 hours) it shouls be ok watch the soil moisture as that can become a problem. take a trip down the nursery this spring and see if something catches your eye. read the tags before you select.    LARRY  ;-)
