sun/shade perennials

Question
I have a flower bed under a tree which mostly shades the flowerbed all day, however there's one side that gets a lot of sun.  Are there any perennials that can live in sun or shade?

Answer
Hi Crystal,
Thanx for your question.  These flowers are tolerant of shade:  Astilbe, Bleeding Heart (Dicentra), Bugbane ( Cimicifuga), Campanula, Columbine (Aquilegia), Coral Bells ( Heuchera), Foxglove (Digitalis), Goatsbeard (Aruncus), Helleborus, Daylilies (Hemerocallis), Hosta, Virginia Bluebells (Mertensia virginica), Ferns (all kinds), Monkshood (Aconitum), Phlox, Primrose ( Primula), Lungworts (Pulmonaria), Cardinal Flower (Lobelia), Siberian Iris, Veronica but they also grow well in the sun.  Columbines also do well in part shade and full sun.  I hope this helps.
Tom
