Transplanting a Bay tree

Question
I would like to move a Bay Tree approx a metre fron its present position.  Would it survive?

Answer
Jane,
Depending on the size of the root ball that you dig for the tree, the after care that it receives and the weather that is coming, it should be fine.
Have the new hole prepared before digging out the tree. Make sure that it is twice the size of the root ball. Keep it well watered for the first month and during any drought or extended periods of high temperatures.
Good luck.
