Can I use pruning reciprocating saw blade to prune shrubs

Question
Hello,
I just bought a reciprocating saw and was wondering if installed a pruning blade, Can I use that saw to prune shrubs ?
I intend to shape the shrubs round, cut the newly sprouts off. Also, i tried with the wood blade but it was helpless.
Here is the pruning blade I will buy if you confirm :

Answer
Hi Brian

Thank you for your question.

A pruning saw or blade is always the best and easiest way to go when pruning a shrub or small tree with stems up to about 2 inches across.  If the stems you want to be rid of are long, cut off about 1/2 to 2/3 of the stem first to reduce the weight and then take off the rest as close to the main stem or trunk as you can.  Clean up any tears with a clean sharp garden knife.

Good luck with your project.
