Question
i had to cut off the last stalk on my rootball
it has been about 1 1/2 months
how can i tell if myu rose is dead?

Answer
There is a possibility that the rose will start to grow again if your weather is warm right now. However if your weather is into cold fall type, than you will have to wait until next spring to see if it is still alive. If you get cold winters, than cover the rose with soil to protect it against freezing in the winter.
