Candytuft

Question
I have a bag of candytuft seeds that I would like to plant on an embankment (About 800 seeds).  I live in central NC.  When is the best time to sow?  Can I plant the seeds directly in the ground or should I plant them indoors and then transplant the young plants into the ground?
Thanks.

Answer
Oh, you lucky person!! I LOVE candytuft!! They are one of my favorites for walls and embankments!  I wish they could be divided but they grow from a single stalk!
Plant them in the spring about 3 weeks after the last frost.  I would think you are well within the limits now!
They will look absolutely gorgeous in 2-3 yrs!!
