Crepe Myrtle tree

Question
planted my crepe myrtle tree about 4 years ago in front on my house and it hasn't bloomed yet.  This year it has a lot of leaves, thriving, but no blooms yet.  Do I need another tree ( mate) before it blooms?  Thank You

Georgia

Answer
Georgia,
That is rather odd. Not sure why it wouldn't be blooming yet. I have seen even 1 year olds bloom. Could it be that you have pruned it at the wrong time? Go to http://www.crapemyrtles.com/ or go to www.google.com and type in either spelling "Crape Myrtles" or "Crepe myrtles" since they are spelled two different ways. You also may have planted it too deep. I am just not sure of the answer. Sorry.I do know how you feel though. My Hydrangeas didn't bloom this year and it really can be frustrating!
